Dear Sir/Madam,
We are disappointed not to have received any response to our letter 27/6/07, wherein we requested a meeting to discuss the yellow line proposals in the Camp Road area, as we had a number of helpful suggestions to put forward as to how the scheme could be improved.
As we did not have any response, I spoke with Paul Atie on 20/7/07, who told me that he was meeting with the Councillors 31/7/07, to review the consultation and would ring me after this to arrange a meeting.
I also suggested that it would be helpful if the Chairman of the Street Management Committee could attend, together with Mitra Dubet and perhaps Richard Chellew.
I heard nothing further and was not advised that it was possible for any of us to attend the Street Management Meeting on September 4th. These minutes, which have just been sent to me by a roundabout source, are very biased and make disturbing reading.
Before the formal consultation takes place, we do earnestly ask for a meeting, so that a sensible plan can be devised that will benefit not only the residents of this area, but the many visitors as well.
Yours sincerely.
B R Barkes
CHAIRMAN
