Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel
Summary of meeting on 18th November
The police priorities for the coming months are :
street crime - drugs, drunkenness and robbery
burglary
vehicle crime.
Also reported was the use of the 'Lebanese Loop' to capture Credit Card details on cash machines within the village. These are not easy to spot but are generally installed for about an hour around dusk (reduced visibility combined with people getting money for the evening). A device on the cash machine picks up your card details, and a camera above picks up your PIN number. The best advice seems to be to always endeavour to cover the keys as you enter your PIN.
If you have any views you would like represented at the next meeting (date to be announced) please contact WCWRA.
